Evervoice — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Evervoice LLC collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information for the private web-based family recording portal.

1. Information We Collect

We collect account identifiers such as name, email, password hash, optional phone number, role, and family membership. We collect recorded answers, transcripts, question metadata, sharing settings, invite records, consent records, support messages, session data, and basic product analytics.

We do not collect government ID numbers, full payment card numbers, precise geolocation, biometric voiceprints, or information from anyone under 18.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate Users, operate the private portal, capture and store recordings, transcribe audio, generate question prompts, manage invitations and sharing, provide exports, send transactional emails, secure the Service, prevent abuse, and provide support.

We do not use Entries, transcripts, voice recordings, or other personal information to train AI models.

3. Voice Recordings

Browser-recorded answers are stored in the Storyteller's Vault as sensitive personal information. They are transcribed and used only to operate the Service for the family. We do not create or use biometric voiceprints.

4. Service Providers

We use service providers for hosting, database, authentication, storage, transcription, AI question generation, email delivery, analytics, and error monitoring. See Subprocessors for the current list. Providers are not permitted to use your content for their own marketing or model training.

5. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and basic analytics. See Cookie Policy for details.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, maintain security, and honor deletion/export requests. Entry audio and transcripts remain while the Vault is active unless deleted through available controls or support.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may access, correct, export, delete, or restrict certain processing of your information by using product controls or contacting support through the app. Storytellers control their own Entries and sharing preferences.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, password hashing, and operational safeguards appropriate to a private family recording portal. No system is perfectly secure.

9. Children

The Service is restricted to Users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version and updating the date above.
