Evervoice — Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into the Evervoice Terms of Service and applies to every User. The license a Storyteller grants to other Users to view or use shared Entries (ToS §12) is subject to this AUP. Evervoice is a private family memory vault — not a publishing platform, forum, clinical service, or surveillance tool.

You may not use the Service to:

Capture anyone without authority. Invite or record a person without their consent, capture content from a person who lacks legal capacity to consent, or use the Service with anyone under 18.
Misrepresent yourself. Use a name that is not your real legal name, misstate your relationship to a Storyteller, or impersonate any person, living or deceased.
Submit recordings that aren't your own voice when registered as the Storyteller (no piped audio, voice-changers, or AI-generated audio purporting to be you).
Continue after a "stop." Keep sending Question Prompts to a Storyteller who has asked, by any channel, to stop.
Coerce, surveil, or pressure. Coerce a Storyteller into recording or sharing; track a Storyteller's location, routine, or call patterns beyond supporting their participation; or use reflection comments or prompt suggestions to harass, shame, or pressure any family member.
Capture credentials or steer financial/estate decisions. Use prompts to extract passwords, PINs, account numbers, or 2FA codes, or to elicit or influence decisions about a will, trust, estate, deeds, beneficiaries, power of attorney, advance directives, or financial accounts. Those conversations belong with a lawyer or advisor, not in Evervoice.
Solicit or simulate professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or tax) to or from a Storyteller.
Record third parties. Let anyone other than the consenting Storyteller be recorded (e.g., holding the phone open during another conversation), or capture a confidential or privileged conversation.
Capture or share prohibited content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM — which we report to NCMEC and law enforcement), threats against a specific person, non-consensual intimate imagery, content that infringes a third party's intellectual property, content promoting terrorism or weapons-making, or content that violates a court order applicable to you.
Misuse custom prompts or Observer suggestions — they must be questions you would ask in person, must not include third parties' personal information without consent, must not be sexually explicit, threatening, or designed to extract credentials, and must stay within published limits.
Attack or exploit the Service. Reverse-engineer or decompile it; scrape or programmatically extract content beyond the export feature; bypass any rate limit or security control; send spam or test SMS deliverability; use the Service to train any machine-learning model; or resell access or redistribute credentials.

You agree to:

keep your account contact information accurate; and
notify us promptly through the support contact shown in the app of any suspected unauthorized access.

Enforcement and suspension of service

We may, at our discretion and without any obligation to provide a cure period or appeal, issue a warning, remove specific content (such as a custom prompt or comment), suspend or terminate any account or Vault, refuse refunds in connection with a violation, and report conduct to law enforcement where required or where public safety reasonably requires. Because the Storyteller is the data subject, we treat Storyteller suspension as a last resort and will, where possible, restore Storyteller access on request even after a paying party's account is terminated.

Evervoice is not liable for any damages arising from suspension or termination of service under this AUP.

This AUP evolves as misuse patterns emerge; the current version always governs (see Terms of Service §21 for how we notify of changes).
